On October 28, 2011 a committee including Journalists and Writers Foundation President Mustafa Yesil, Abant Platform General Secretary Faruk Mercan, Women’s Platform General Secretary Muserref Ozer, JWF Ankara Representative Mehmet Sahin, Women’s Platform Ankara Representative Arzu Ayasun, visited Minister of Family and Social Politics Fatma Sahin in her office.

After a general information held by foundation presented by President Mustafa Yesil, Muserref Ozer mentioned about their October, 2012 project, International Family Conference. There will be the second gathering of this conference this year and Women’s Platform wants to concentrate on “Domestic Violence and Family”. Under this title, they are planning to discuss “Woman and Domestic Violence against Men”, “Divorce”, “Children and Domestic Violence”, “Honor Killings”. After this briefing about the conference, Ozer also noted that their intentions are to think about the reasons triggering these problems and to try to create possible resolutions.
